From a pattern called Bankhead that I found on Ravelry. I used stripes which made the purl stitch in the main part (K4 P1 etc) quite interesting. Unfortunately, I overestimated the size of Peter's head so a lot of the good bit is covered by the far too long ribbed rim.

I used a pattern called Fast Baby Cardigan by Janet Cullen for this. The pattern was white dk but I understand that babies throw up a lot so why white?

It was a little while before baby Amanda wore the cardigan as the pattern only started from 3-6 months. I have no experience to guage the size of human babies! This lovely family are expecting a son in two weeks time and I am almost ready with another cardigan! Age/size 0-3 months this time.

This is a hat based on the Edinburgh beret or tam. I can't find the pattern to leave a link; I love the shape of the hat but the first incarnation using the correct sized needles was too big even for a friend with enormous dreadlocks - even if he'dworn them up!. The second version (above), I used size 4 needles and was too big for me but fine for my much taller friend.

Finally, using 3 3/4 needles, the cap fitted (though not exactly snugly). It reminds me of a mob cap. Big enough to fit an updo.
