And this seems to be yet another waif taking up residence at the Anderson Shelter. Very odd and sad story: the lodger came back from walking the dog with her clinging to his lapels. Apparently a pair of Romanians had approached his bench, asked him if he liked cats and then whipped this tiny creature out of a rucksack and thrust it at him before running away. (Wednesday 13th July)

She looks about 6 months old and is incredibly nervous of Bobbie and the other cats (manifesting in one long stream of feline bad language.)

She also appears to be pregnant......

  1. Beautiful shots and beautiful kitties :) Your new arrival is beautiful! She will settle down soon, I bet. I hope she is not pregnant... but she probably needs to get spayed asap, or she soon will be .... I am not sure if cat overpopulation and consequently killing in "shelters" is as common there as it is here in the US :((((( . Queenie is gorgeous and l love the curtain climbing shot! ;-) Bear hugs from across the ocean xxx

  2. Hi Anja! I was going to get in touch if you didn't spot this post. Catteries here are always full but i don't know how much putting-down goes on. We have a charity called the Cats Protection League who publicize the importance of neutering and subsidize the ops for those on low incomes which is a Godsend.
On the offchance that her belly is full of worms, we popped a Drontal down her throat tonight. I'm sure it's kittens though as she seems to have little boobs forming....She is incredibly sweet and it's always a joy to help out an animal.
I hope you and all the cats and bears are well! XXX

  3. Oh, she looks like a baby herself Rowan :(. Wow, you will be REALLY busy with all those kittens! Blessings to you for being so good to them. We are all well here, it has been really hot and the cats seem quite fed up. I always look forward to hearing your news here :) Take good care and many bear hugs xxx
